Walk-in outpatient crisis clinic, 8 am to 10 p.m., seven days a week. MHUC provides screening, assessment, crisis intervention, referral and short-term treatment for adolescents and adults.


The program is designed to avoid involuntary hospitalization, psychiatric emergency room visits, and incarceration.

Information for Veterans

Veterans Crisis Line – (1-800)273-8255 and press 1 or text message to 838255 to receive confidential support 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, 365 days a year. The Veterans Crisis Line connects Veterans in Crisis and their families and friends with qualified, caring Department of Veterans Affairs responders through this confidential toll-free hotline. Support for deaf and hard of hearing individuals is available.


Veteran Affairs local Mental Health Clinics (8 am to 4:30 pm). An Officer of the Day is on duty who would take crisis calls or arrange an appointment for a mental health intake:

For Combat vets only, there is a non-medical “storefront” Vet Center at 278 N. 2nd St, San Jose, CA, 95112, 408 -993-0829. Counseling services are available for veterans and their families.
